Legal Turmoil: Quando Rondo's DUI Arrest Amid Ongoing Court Battles
Rapper Quando Rondo, also known as Tyquian Bowman, got arrested for driving drunk and reckless driving in Georgia, where he was already facing serious charges in state and federal courts.
The 24-year-old rapper, from Savannah, was taken in by the police on Tuesday for these new charges, but he's been released on bail of $4,600.
Last year, Bowman got hit with drug and gang charges in Georgia state court and also faced federal drug charges in U.S. District Court.
The recent charges are connected to a car crash last July. Bowman slammed his car into another vehicle, and responders at the scene gave him a drug used for opioid overdoses.
His lawyer, Jonah Pine, thinks the prosecutors are trying to add more trouble to Bowman's plate unfairly.
This crash happened right after Bowman got indicted in the state case, where he was accused of being part of an illegal street gang and dealing drugs like marijuana and hydrocodone pills.
Then, in December, federal prosecutors brought their own case against him, charging him with being involved in possessing and distributing drugs like meth, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana.
As Quando Rondo, Bowman had a deal with Atlantic Records and released his debut album, "QPac," in 2020, followed by "Recovery" in March.
